Will Spankie (b1967)

Sussex based stone carver trained at Central Saint Martins in London. Will’s current work is concerned with the essence of things, their qualities and the stone itself. He is interested in the geometric structures, patterns, symmetry and proportion found both in nature and in the unfolding of numbers in space. He enjoys the ambiguity in a sculpture, hints of other things and the manipulation of the material to capture an ephemeral moment in stone.
