James Somerville

James Somerville (1936-2023)

born in Fife, Scotland, graduated from the Edinburgh College of Art. He became Officer for Art and Design in the Scottish Department of Education. A well travelled artist throughout Southern Europe and British Columbia, he showed at RSA, RSW, SSA, SSWA and elsewhere in Scotland including solo shows around the UK. His work is held in public and private art collections including Scottish Arts Council, Fife Regional Council, Edinburgh Hospitals Trust and Pitlochry Festival Theatre/Cruden Collection.
