Title: ‘Lane Lavenham’

Description: An original abstract painting in oil on paper. The work is signed and dated 1953 lower right and it is inscribed by the artist to the reverse with the title and reference as above. The artist also noted to the reverse that the work was exhibited at the AIA Autumn Exhibition of 1953. The AIA was the Artists’ International Association, a progressive movement in the art of the 1950s. The more modern black painted frame shows some sign of wear and tear and should ideally be replaced or refinished – we can arrange that at cost if necessary. The painting itself is in very good condition for its age.
