Description: An original oil painting on a wooden panel of a female nude in a Cubist landscape. The date of it is likely to be circa 1937-40, a period when the artist was still influenced by his time in Paris in the late 1920s. It is signed verso (upper left) ‘Ian Grant’ and has part of its original exhibition label from Atkinson Art Gallery, Southport, as pictured. The work also has the label of Austin Desmond Fine Art, the London dealers, which may be from circa 1990. We have had the painting cleaned professionally. It is unframed.
