Title: Swimmer

Description: An original unframed oil painting on canvas with a hand painted wooden relief fixed to the canvas at either side of the lower part of the image. The work isn’t signed or dated but we think it is probably circa 2005 to 2010. It came from the artist’s studio in Nottingham. We have included an image of the reverse of the canvas to show how the artist secured the wooden relief to the back of the canvas. The ‘Museo’ canvas itself is secured on a wooden stretcher and then further by a robust silver metal stretcher in support. The two areas of stepped painted relief have a maximum depth of about 3cm. The work weighs approximately 7 kilos so will need to be secured well to a wall when hanging. The painting is in good untouched condition with only minor signs of wear and tear. There is a small chip to the paint surface at the extreme lower right of the image, on the wooden relief.
