June Update and Petworth Gallery Info
Following the busy Petworth Park Antiques & Fine Art Fair, we are pleased to add a selection of new works to the website. This includes a gouache and pastel landscape by the very well-known Scottish artist George Henry RA, a watercolour of a Bloomsbury Square, London, from 1937 by Rowland Suddaby (1912-1972), a fine watercolour of a French Hilltop Town by Charles Maresco Pearce NEAC, LG (1874-1964), a pair of striking larger than usual monoprints by Martyn Brewster (b1952), a Cornish oil on board by David Humphreys, RCamA (1937-2022) who studied at Durham University under Victor Pasmore 1958-62, a mixed media abstract painting by the Camberwell School artist Richard Walker (b1954), and finally a Colonial coffee table designed in 1964 by Ole Wanscher for Carl Hansen & Son.
Our new pop-up gallery in the centre of Petworth opens next week. We are opening on May 31st at 10.00 and shall open every Thursday-Saturday 10:30-15:00 until further notice. Other days are possible by appointment either at the Petworth gallery, or in Angmering. If you want to view a particular work at the gallery please let us know in advance of visiting.
