Title: ‘Coastal Landscape’

Description: An oil painting on thin canvas laid to a board, of what is most probably a West Country coastal view. It is signed by the artist lower right and dated there (1959). The artist has highlighted the substance of the hill by applying varnish to the red and yellow colour areas of the work. The frame has some age related / handling wear but it is serviceable. The painting is in generally good condition though there is what appears to be a relatively small repair to the paint surface at lower right centre, best viewed in our third image. The provenance is the artist’s studio.
