Robin Tanner

Robin Tanner, RE (1904-1988)

was a well-known etcher of pastoral subjects, influenced by the 19th century works of Samuel Palmer. He was born in Bristol and studied at Goldsmiths’ College School of Art in London. He exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1929 and his work is held in a number of public collections, including The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the Young Gallery in Salisbury. He lived in London and at Kington Langley in Wiltshire.
