Bryan Ingham

Bryan Ingham (1936-1997)

was a well known painter, draughtsman, printmaker and sculptor. He was born George Bryan Ingham in Preston, Lancashire and studied at St Martin’s School of Art 1957-61 and at the Royal College of Art 1961-64. Ingham exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1960 and, after settling in Cornwall at the end of the 1960s, at the Wills Lane Gallery St Ives and later at the Book Gallery also in St Ives. He lived in St Ives for a few years and later on The Lizard. His work is held in a number of public collections including the Arts Council Collection, Ashmolean Museum Oxford, City of London Corporation, and the Victoria & Albert Museum. A major show was held at The Fine Art Society, London W1 in 2006.
